Lorraine Kelly joked that Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley had been causing mayhem at the ITV Studios, as the This Morning hosts welcomed six adorable puppies to the show

This Morning presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were busy causing chaos in the ITV Studios on Monday morning (20 January). It was revealed by Lorraine Kelly that Cat and Ben had been busy welcoming six adorable puppies in the studio, who would be making a special appearance on This Morning.

Speaking to co-star Tyler West on her self-titled morning show, Lorraine told viewers Ben and Cat had caused a "hoo-ha" first thing that morning. She said: "We're just about to talk to Ben and Cat. They've caused a hoo-ha today!"

Tyler exclaimed: "It was the best morning ever!" before admitting it had been "a lot" to deal with.

Ben and Cat appeared with two of the six puppies, as Tyler and Lorraine continued to gush over them. Lorraine revealed she'd spent time with the dogs before her show went live on Monday.

"Nobody was bothered about anybody this morning a part from six wee puppies that were downstairs!" she told viewers. "There was a queue and we wanted to take them home."

It was then revealed that the puppies were set to feature on a special "feel good" episode of This Morning, aimed at cheering viewers up and combat what is known as 'Blue Monday'. Cat told Lorraine: "It is! We've got the ultimate feel good show for you this morning!"

This Morning viewers were loving the addition of the puppies as they made their on-screen debut during Monday's episode of the chat show. Many took to social media to gush over the dogs.

"Awww those puppies are adorable #ThisMorning," one viewer commented on X, while a second wrote: "Ah bless, dogs are lovely #ThisMorning."

A third This Morning fan wrote: "The puppies barking in the background is the best part," and another agreed, writing: "The puppies in the background #ThisMorning."

"Hi Nick! We brought Bailey home last November and he’s just turned 6 months old! Bailey is the most wonderful dog, calm & well-mannered, playful & very cuddly! He loves watching TV on the sofa before bedtime and enjoys his weekly bubble bath & groom after off-lead fun at the country park! He’s THE perfect first dog, quick to learn, happy to hop in the car, amazing with family & friends’ kids & our cats (who are both quite taken with him but he’s still a bit too boisterous for them to use as their pillow!). Now spring is almost here, he and I enjoy our 6am potty walks & watching the sun come up together, me still in my PJ’s

He is really patient in general and a sweetheart every day having his teeth brushed (liver flavor toothpaste is his favourite!). Bailey loves other dogs & now has some regular friends at the park - his favorites are a couple of Dalmatian’s and a Cockapoo! Locally he has made friends with neighbours’ dogs too - a German Shepherd called Alsie & an English Bulldog called Alice … lots of happy squeals & playing when they see each other! We had planned on puppy training but to be honest a combination of your puppy pack & website help + some tips from other dog owners mixed with routine & dedication, and he’s a perfect dog!

It’s difficult to remember life without Bailey & we wouldn’t be without him, he’s amazing - we’re so glad he was rejected twice by other people on the day we chose him!

We are doing Adult dog training classes at the minute which he’s doing well at. Although he is extremely stubborn at time 😅 which I think is a usual golden trait! He’s constantly on the go and entertains us with his little quirks! But most importantly he’s become part of the family and we couldn’t imagine life without him"

Puppies

Litters of puppies are planned very carefully and are born and raised in the house. At 4 weeks of age they continue to be raised in our purpose built "puppy house" where they are weaned off mum. Bonsaviour puppies are adapted to family life well before they leave us. We have 3 to 4 litters each year, most often puppies are sold before they are born. Reserving a puppy from planned litters is recommended. If you are interested in a puppy, we will require some background information about yourself, your family members, your home and lifestyle, including where you live, whether you have owned a pet before, opportunities for exercise and when you hope to welcome a new addition to your home. We are very happy to help in the process of selecting a puppy that is right for you and your family. When you purchase a puppy from Bonsaviour we will always be here to offer support for you and your puppy and help with any questions you might have for the life of your puppy and beyond. All Bonsaviour puppies come with 1st vaccine, a Vet's health report, Microchip and Puppy insurance.

Golden Retriever Temperament

The Golden Retriever's kindly expression says it all. This is one of the finest family dogs in the world: cheerful, demonstrative, trustworthy with everyone, and forgiving of any mistakes made by inexperienced owners.

Give this breed two brisk walks each day, play fetch games, and take him out for a good run once a week, and he is adaptable to almost any lifestyle.

Friendly with everyone (strangers, children, dogs, cats, smaller pets), his bark is welcoming rather than protective.

You must control his tendency to chew on objects and to mouth your hands -- provide a box filled with toys so he can carry things around in his mouth.

A Golden Retriever remains enthusiastically puppy-like for many years, so early obedience training is required to instill calmness and good manners.

Eager to please and wonderfully responsive, he is nonetheless distracted by exciting sights and sounds, so you must be both patient and persistent.

The mind and heart of a Golden is sweet and gentle, but his body is robust – until he's taught not to pull on the leash, you'll need good biceps to walk him.

I just wanted to say I can’t thank you enough for letting us take one of your puppies. Our beautiful girl was born last April and we collected her in June. We named her Sienna and she is just the most adorable and loving girl. She’s now 9 months old is a fun-loving, playful pup, with boundless energy. She loves going for long walks and running round the fields surrounding our home, although she does manage to seek out every muddy puddle to roll around in. She’s so sociable and loves playing with our neighbours doggies, especially Barney the cocker spaniel. She loves nothing more than playing hide and seek with her many toys and is so clever, she always finds them.
My favourite time is in the evening, when she becomes sleepy and snuggles on the sofa with us, being totally pampered.
